If you have already taken part in a sportive such as Ride London recently, or plan to do one (such as the new Velo South 100-mile event in the South Downs this September), it goes without saying that you need to be comfortable on your bike.

What’s more, hand in hand with comfort goes the avoidance of injury. I’m not a medic, but I know enough to be certain that if you’re getting pains during riding then it might already be too late.
